What. A. Year. A Recap of 2021...

To our community of clients, artists, gallerists, and friends,

In January 2021, I shared a letter about the impact your support had on so many lives through the challenges of 2020.  Last year was equally bizarre, and we are once again pleased to pull back the curtain of our business and share what you helped us accomplish.

We sold approximately $1,500,000 of art in 2021. Every piece was sold on the primary market, meaning the transaction is directly between us and the artist, or us and the small business gallerist representing that artist. Proceeds from primary market sales go directly into the hands of individual creatives and entrepreneurs who believe in the importance of art as a means of creative expression, social advocacy, and cultural awareness. Plus, with each art sale, and across our 40+ projects throughout North America, we engage freelance framers, truckers, and installers, all of whom are supported in this ecosystem.

For the first year ever, we hosted a Harlem Halloween Painting Day, giving low-income children a chance to come together, paint, and showcase their art at school. This preceded our 4th annual Cobble Hill Halloween Window Painting Day.  We are also proud to share details of charitable organizations helping children in hospitals, at-risk students, and other groups in need, that we provided meaningful support to over the past 12 months…all because of you.

Our team of 6 women across three offices continues to be committed to creating an environment of learning, motivation, and collaboration. We added 2 student interns to our roster this summer, providing them with experience through studio visits, participation in strategy meetings, and art world education.  Your support fosters all of our careers and makes each of us stronger in our personal and professional lives.

Finally, to those who don’t engage our services but tell others about who we are, follow us on social media, and cheer us on from the side: you helped us service over 40 clients this past year from Miami to Ottawa, Montauk to the West Coast. These clients are eager to connect with artists and build inspired homes. With your support, we helped them do just that, finding meaning in a strangers’ most intimate artistic expression, and acquiring works that become the fabric of each family story.

Thank you, and cheers to many more,
