Oh HEY, Holiday Rush! It’s been a while. Here’s what we’re working on, art we’re seeing, and how a some projects are really shapin’ up.

1. Project Hey Hey NJ [Pronounced “Hey Hey N JAY”]

We’re almost ready for one big fat install with 20+ pieces and fingers crossed this happens before year end. Friendly reminder: this is a full-house project designed by Tina Ramchandi and we’re doing all the walls everywhere. Highlights:

And don’t forget the Mimi Jung cast bronze that’s going right across the room from it to add some tasteful glam.

In the bedroom, we’re going for a calm vibe (who isn’t?), so we sourced this Petros Koublis and had it dry mounted and framed for the corner desk wall.

Upstairs near the Master there’s a very long hallway and so this is our gallery wall moment. And the key to a good gallery wall is a good to-scale plan so here we are:

2. Project West Siiiide

Project West Side photos are IN and going up on the Project Page as soon as I stop writing this blog and progress through my To Do list. This is something we’ve worked on since 2016 with the sweetest clients who wanted colorful and fun art to add to their mostly neutral space. Mid-project the client quite impulsively bought a yellow couch and THANK GOODNESS because this pic is now one of my faves:

Next up, the master bedroom, which originally had a muted purplish wall with relatively traditional floral drapes. To give it the desired contemporary pop, we got floral prints from Ashley Woodson Bailey and had them custom framed in a glossy magenta with Museum Glass.

And finally, the dining area needed a sophisticated accent over the bar. Enter this Andres Galeano that I initially saw in 2014. It’s made of strangers’ photographs, collected at flea markets and collaged together. The day this arrived through Customs was a happy one for all.

Project Williamsburg Loft

This may be my least fun project name but don’t judge a project by it’s SEO-friendly title. These clients wanted art to finish their home (DUH) but we surprised them at our first presentation when I busted out a recommendation to paint the dining area dark…. like REALLY dark dark blue green - it’s a color called “Railings” by Farrow and Ball. They were taken aback yet loved the concept and are now fully on board. Why? Because by creating separate spaces in an apartment you actually make the whole place feel larger.

Lastly, wallpapering is a big part of this project and it all needs to work with the paint, the art, and the design aesthetic. Here are some prints we’re considering for the powder room on every wall (because that’s SO MUCH BETTER than an accent wall), and the kids lofted play space:
